Dire, écrire, jouer, c’est commettre un acte responsable en conscience. Conscients de cette responsabilité, Isabel B. (comédienne, metteur en scène, scénographe) et Elie Briceno (auteur, metteur en scène) ont créé la compagnie Artizans, en 2003. En 2005 ils arrivent en Aveyron après avoir été choisis par Bruno Houlès directeur de la MJC de Rodez avec le spectacle Camille Claudel être matière pour figurer dans sa saison. Celui-ci leur a alors proposé de mettre en place une résidence autour de l’adaptation par Elie Briceno du roman Cousin e K de Yasmina Khadra. Dans une volonté de pérennisation et à la demande des partenaires, la MJC leur propose une deuxième résidence autour du texte Origines d’Elie Briceno. Différentes actions ont été mises en place sur le territoire durant 9 mois. Dire « Je » qu’est ce que cela veut dire aujourd’hui ? Interpeller le « Je » en passant par le manque, conduit la compagnie à articuler son premier triptyque autour de l’exil : Exil social : Dire « Je » comme l’on tue : Camille Claudel, être matière, texte d'Elie Briceno interprété par Isabelle B, créé au festival d’Avignon en 2003. soutenue par la fondation Beaumarchais. Exil politique : Tuer pour dire « Je » : Cousine k est créé, en collaboration avec l’auteur Yasmina Khadra. Exil d’héritage : « Je » tue : Origines. « Nous pensons que le point fort de la compagnie, réside dans sa capacité à rendre acteurs de la création différents partenaires, qui ne sont pas tous issus du monde culturel. Le point fort de la compagnie c’est aussi son exigence. Il ne s’agit pas pour nous de faire des actions de médiation autour de la création, mais plutôt de faire de la création, la matrice de différentes propositions artistiques qui jalonneront le processus de création et que nous élaborerons avec le public, y compris avec le public ou les publics que l’on définit comme sensibles. Nous appréhendons ces travaux de notre place, c’est-à-dire de la place de l’auteur, du metteur en scène ou du comédien. Nous ne sommes pas des travailleurs sociaux, nous sommes des créateurs. Nous nous appliquons à faire de la société, des personnes qui la vivent, le cœur de notre réflexion. La médiation nous permet d’interroger, de provoquer la problématique de création. Nous cherchons à travailler, à donner corps à cette frontière qui détache ou qui assimile le réel à la fiction. Il ne s’agit pas pour nous d’intégrer la culture à la société, il s’agit de faire en sorte que notre travail de création donne à voir à chacun cette société. » Le travail de collectages de paroles et d'écriture de textes à Naucelles, Rieupeyroux, Rodez, Villefranche-de –Rouergue donne lieu a la création du spectacle Inhumain trop humain ou le cirque de l’humanité, au festival off d’Avignon 2009. Repris et enrichi lors d'une résidence médiation-diffusion dans la Communauté de Communes de Decazeville. Résidence de création sur le thème « Les mythes ne sont rien par eux-mêmes, ils attendent que nous les incarnions ». Albert Camus, au théâtre Georges Leygues de Villeneuve-sur-Lot Nous avons interrogé la population villeneuvoise. A partir de la matière récoltée, neuf monologues de quinze minutes ont été écrits pour former le spectacle Figures. Il a donné lieux a une forme déambulatoire dans le quartier en démolition Rieux. Inhumain trop humain est un travail en collaboration avec la Cie des Lézards qui bougent accueillie par la Factory 64. Créé pendant le festival « Les Improbables » Bayonne. En parallèle un travail avec les élèves de l’école du Plateau. Donna lieu durant le festival a une performance déambulatoire dans le quartier des Hauts de Bayonne : Elle est où, la chaise à Gisou ? La résidence de création, au théâtre Georges Leygues, Villeneuve-sur-Lot. Donne lieu a Et si… : Feuilleton théâtral fondé sur les dysfonctionnements de notre société . « Notre manière de travailler, d’envisager la création sans la séparer de la médiation implique une longue présence de notre part sur les territoires (8 mois à Villeneuve-sur-Lot, 6 mois à Bayonne). Nos spectacles ne sont pas figés, ils sont fondés sur un socle immuable sur lequel viennent se greffer les influences du territoire qui nous reçoit en diffusion. Il ne s’agit jamais de diffusion « sèche », il y a toujours création-médiation-diffusion, ce qui implique là aussi une certaine temporalité. »
